ControlDesk Branding - HOW TO

ControlDesk is Brandable Multi-level Reseller Control Panel.   You can create Resellers and grant them access to control panel to manage their accounts in real time.

Step 1 : Reseller Accounts

First step is to create account for your Reseller and grant them access to manage their accounts.

A. Create Reseller Account

To Create Reseller account  click on  "Resellers > Add Reseller"

B. Grant Access

Once Reseller Account is created, click on "List All Resellers" and click on "Manage" option for the respective account.

Click on "Access Control" and grant access to areas which you wish them to Manage. 

By default Reseller Accounts will not have access to any of the areas. Without this setup, they will not be able to log-in to control panel.

Step 2 : Branding URL Setup

In interest of our customers/resellers,  we allow your resellers (sub-resellers) to log-in only from your branded URL.

A. Select URL

You need to set URL which you would like to use for branded control panel.  You can use our partially branded sub-domain  ( http://yourname.controldesk.in) or use your own domain name/sub-domain.

To set URL click on "Settings > Branding Options > Branding URLs"

If you set partially branded URL, it should be active instantly.
If you set your own Domain Name/Sub-Domain name, please ensure to set CNAME Record as mentioned.

B. Custom Files

When you visit your Branded or Partially branded URL,  by default you will see our Default Login, Header & Footer files.  

You will need to upload your own Login/Header/Footer files from "Settings > Branding Options > ControlDesk Branding"

(Click on View Source from your browser and save these files).

You can modify the HTML Coding to suit your branding. If you wish to display images, call them from your website

e.g. <img src="http://www.mysite.com/images/logo.jpg">

Please ensure that you leave @@@XXX@@@ tags intact.   System replaces them automatically by respective values.   You are free to change their placement to suit your branding and looks.

You need to upload these files with ONLY following names

login.htm
header.htm
footer.htm
